Private jet charter to Jamaica

Celebrated for its reggae roots and Kingston-born legend, Bob Marley, Jamaica is often credited for giving birth to the musical genres of reggae, ska, dancehall and dub. The Caribbean’s third-largest island boasts a tropical climate and laid-back ethos that attract over 3.5 million sun-seekers to its shores each year. Join them with a private jet charter from Air Charter Service.

Capital city Kingston is home to the Bob Marley Museum and Blue Mountains, both of which are worth a visit. But for unadulterated beachside relaxation, head to the resort towns of Negril, Montego Bay and Ocho Ríos – as well as Portland on the northeast coast, which is slightly quieter and can feel more exclusive.

Take time to unwind in Negril on the island’s western tip, with its turquoise waters and tranquil tides. Then, when the sun sets, let your hair down at the lively reggae bars, rum shacks and restaurants along Seven Mile Bay. Jamaica produces its world-renowned run in distilleries such as Appleton Estate, Santa Cruz and Hampden Estate in Falmouth, so a rum tasting and distillery tour is a good excuse to get up off the beach.

Montego Bay on the northwest coast is a famous stretch of sandy beaches, including the popular Doctor’s Cave Beach. Montego Bay Marine Park is an idyllic spot for snorkelling and diving, while wildlife lovers should visit Rocklands Bird Sanctuary. The town of Falmouth, located between the Montego Bay and Ocho Ríos, makes an interesting day-trip with its 19th-century architecture and historic sugar plantation.

To the east is the port town of Ocho Ríos, one of the liveliest resorts in Jamaica. For an active day out here, you can climb Dunn's River Falls – a 600-foot waterfall – or take a zip-line ride through the rainforest. Not far from Ocho Ríos is Oracabessa Bay, home to the villa where Ian Fleming wrote his 14 James Bond novels. This intriguing seafront property is now a luxury boutique hotel called GoldenEye, which boasts a swim-up-to spa, treetop restaurant and freshwater infinity pool.

In Port Antonio, the capital of Portland, you’ll find the mellow beaches along Jamaica’s northeast coast. Situated seven miles east of Portland is the Blue Lagoon – a natural lagoon famed for its deep blue waters, which appear to change colour throughout the day. This incredible natural wonder is one of the island’s main attractions.
