Attend Carnival Venice by Private Plane

Don a mask and a step back into the Venice of yesteryear at Carnival, Italy’s most glamorous party.

The Venice Carnival originally dates back to 1094, when it was held as a public celebration to honor the days leading up to Lent. Venetians would throw parties to go through all their rich foods and drinks before Ash Wednesday. In the years that followed, the little celebrations grew into the joyful masked festival we now know as Carnival.

As one of the more popular European festivals of the year, the Carnival should be on your list of things to do if you’re visiting the surrounds. This year, the event runs from 11th to 28th February and includes over 40 events. We’ve listed the key dates below.

Grand Opening of the 2017 Venice Carnival

Date: 11 February at 6:00pm with an encore at 8:00pm
